Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I will tell you of them.

Isaiah 42:9

During the Interregnum

On 31st May, Rev Neil Taylor left to go to a new post as Chaplain to a hospice on the east coast of Kent.

The Churchwardens, Benefice Council and PCCs are working hard to put everything in place for the appointment of a new Rector as soon as possible, but a period without one is standard practice in the Church and therefore inevitable.

The Rectory will continue to be used as the church office for a few hours each week. The telephone number 01322 863050 will remain the Rectory number, but answerphone messages will usually only be collected every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

For Baptism and Wedding enquiries (for any of the three churches) please call Ruth Peet on 01322 862878 in the first instance.

For Funeral enquiries (for any of the three churches) please call Frank Rogers on 01322 862519 in the first instance.

Having this 'first point of contact' will help to make sure that the Benefice diary is co-ordinated, and that we do not end up with double bookings.

If you are hoping to plan a Baptism or a Wedding, or needing to arrange a Funeral, please be assured that every attention will be given to your needs. Even though we are temporarily without an incumbent, we are fortunate to be able to call on the services of a number of ordained Priests, who will be very happy to plan and prepare with you, and conduct the Service for you.

If you are interested in applying for the post of Rector, please contact Revd. Canon Jean Kerr (Patron's representative) or Ven. Clive Mansell (Archdeacon) for further information and an application form.

The Benefice Profile may be seen here.
