Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I will tell you of them.

Sunday School Sun
Joint
Contact: Liz Meachin 864726
Sunday School is held during the time of morning service (usually 10am - please check the calendar) on the second, third and fourth Sunday of each month. On the second and fourth Sunday the service is usually at Farningham, and on the third Sunday it's usually at Eynsford. When there is a fifth Sunday in the month, a special activity is arranged (for example, last November, Tom Hart Dyke told the children all about cactii and they had a picnic). Sunday School children come to the beginning of the service (for about 5 minutes) and then rejoin the service for the last 10 minutes or so. There are plenty of helpers so parents/guardians can stay in church without worry. Often, at the end of the service, the children present what they've been doing to the rest of the congregation, which is always a lot of fun. Quite a wide range of ages attend, but the core group is primary school age (4-11 years). Sunday School is a lively, growing group and they would love to welcome even more new members. Please phone Liz for more information.
Junior Choir Thur
Joint
Contact: Dale Wills 07989 950811
Junior Choir are the children and young people who belong to the main Benefice Choir. Choir practice is on a Thursday evening and the Junior Choir meet (in St. Martin's) at 7pm. They are joined by the adults at 7:30pm and practice ends for the Juniors at 8pm. Ages range from about 8 years (depending on ability) through teens. The Juniors sing with the adults at the main services, but also learn pieces of music to sing together or as duets or trios. The older teens have now been singing with the choir for years and they keep coming as in their words "we like learning to sing better and we get something from coming to church that we don't find anywhere else. It makes us feel happy". If you would like any more information please phone Dale.
Yz Up Sun

Next meeting: Sunday 10th January, 6.00pm - 8:30pm, Olive Seal Hall.

Yz Up making rainbow cakes to remind us of God's promisesYz Up is for young people age 11 and over. We meet on the second and fourth Sunday of each month, from 6:00 to 8:30pm, usually in the Olive Seal Hall. We talk about things that happen in the Church. We go out for meals (e.g. to China Red), we go to other Churches to see what the young people do in their Church, and we also make things. Earlier this year we planned and helped lead a Service for All, which everyone said was a success. We are looking forward to planning more as it means we can include the things that make sense to us in Church. We are also planning concert trips, film watching, Soul Survivor and other activities. Recently we've been to Angel Space and made bracelets to sell to raise money for our funds. It's just nice to be in a group where we can talk and ask questions about God and other things on our minds.

Yz Up is for all interested young people. You don't have to be a churchgoer to join us if you would like to. See the calendar for the dates and venues of meetings and if you are 11-17, just come along! Or give Linda or Ruth a call to find out more about us.
